Wolfgang Feist

Dr. Feist is the originator of the Passivhaus concept and methodology, one of the most rigorous standards for energy efficiency in buildings. He was founder and is current director of the Passivhaus Institut in Germany, as well as the Chair of Building Physics at the University of Innsbruck and head of scientific study groups on cost efficient passive houses and of the European Thermie research project CEPHEUS. Widely acknowledged as a leading world authority on low energy buildings, Dr. Feist is the recipient of the 2001 German Environmental Award, and the 2003 Göteborg International Environment Prize together with architect Hans Eek. *Note: Dr. Wolfgang Feist will be presenting at A Better World by Design via teleconferencing.
